William A. Wooten is an associate attorney at the law firm of Jackson, Shields, Yeiser & Holt. As an undergraduate, William completed a double major in Economics and Political Science and received his B.A. Degree, with honors, from Washington University in St. Louis. After two years of working in business development and accounting while running his own consulting company, Wooten Worldwide, LLC, Mr. Wooten went back to school to obtain his J.D. Degree from the University of Tennessee College of Law.

Mr. Wooten currently practices in the areas of corporate and entrepreneurial law, employment and labor law, education law, intellectual property, and sports and entertainment law. Mr. Wooten is admitted to practice law in Tennessee and Missouri and is currently a member of the American Bar Association, Tennessee and Missouri State Bar Associations, and the Memphis Bar Association, including the section of Alternative Dispute Resolution. Mr. Wooten is also admitted to practice in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri.

In addition to his legal practice, Mr. Wooten is a founder and owner of Energy Beverages Worldwide Limited, which develops and produces energy shots. Mr. Wooten also has previous management experience in the Entertainment, Beverage, and Clothing Industries where he developed expertise in writing business plans, negotiating domestic and international licensing deals, obtaining product endorsements and sponsorships for athletes and artists, and providing creative legal solutions for great business ideas.

During his time at the University of Tennessee College of Law, Mr. Wooten worked in the Mediation Clinic and successfully mediated numerous cases in a variety of legal areas. Mr. Wooten also obtained a Certificate of Academic Achievement from the University of Tennessee College of Law for the Mediation Clinic and Negotiations and Professionalism classes, signifying his obtainment of the highest grade in each class. Mr. Wooten has personally participated in mediation and represented many clients in mediations. Mr. Wooten is a Tennessee Supreme Court Rule 31 Listed Mediator and concentrates his mediation practice in the areas of corporate and business transactions, licensing and intellectual property, employment and labor law, landlord- tenant disputes, and education law.
